Steamboat Deals

Many people often ask us - What are the best deals in Steamboat, from lift tickets, to happy hour and restaurants in town.  Here we have compiled such deals for your enjoyment.

Discounted lift tickets

Discounted lift tickets at Steamboat are virtually non-existant, but I have caught wind of deals worth mentioning.

1 - College Big 6 Pass - http://steamboat.com/big6/

Essentially it allows for 6 days of skiing and riding to any full time college student for only $99.  Good from the start of ski season through until February 14th.  The pass is blacked out this year from December 21 - January 6th.  But given the fact that a regular priced lift ticket is $85 a day - this is a smokin deal!

2 - Rocky Mountain Super Pass Plus - http://www.passwagon.com/superpassplus.htm

The Rocky Mountain Super Pass Plus allows unlimited skiing and riding at both Winter Park/Mary Jane and Copper Mountain PLUS 6 unrestricted days at Steamboat and free skiing every Friday after 12:00 pm at Steamboat.  If purchased early season the additional 6 days at Steamboat is not that much more expensive. New in 2008/2009 is the ability for someone with this pass to also ski 2 days for free at Whistler Blackcomb in British Columbia, Canada.

3 - Warren Miller Movie 2 for 1 vouchers or Free lift tickets to Steamboat

Everyone attending Warren Miller’s CHILDREN OF WINTER on the Front Range will receive a voucher to EITHER Steamboat, Copper, OR Winter Park good for ONE OF THE FOLLOWING.

(1) Free lift ticket valid Monday through Friday from Opening Day through 12.19.08 and 4.6.09 to closing day.
(2) 2 for 1 lift ticket valid 1.7.09 through 4.5.09

(excluding 1.17.09 through 1.19.09 and 2.14.09 through 2.16.09).  Not valid with any other discounted offer. 2 for 1 tickets must be used on the same day at the same mountain. No cash value. 2 for 1 price based on prevailing window ticket rate. Must present valid ID and original copy of computer generated coupon at Steamboat, Copper or Winter Park lift ticket window to redeem.

So put this one in the planner, since the Warren Miller crew paid Steamboat a visit in January 2008 to film our amazing 200+ inches of snow [which we all know became 450+ inches]. More information available on Warren Miller’s website

4 - Steamboat Card

If by chance you have an old Steamboat Card from back during the days of American Ski Company (ASC) owning the mountain, that Steamboat to this day, still honors those discounts.  This is obviously a non-advertised deal, but it would definitely be worth digging around and finding that old card and presenting it at the lift ticket window to see what you see.

5 - Kids Ski Free - http://www.steamboat.com/plan-vacation/tickets-passes/details/kids-ski-free.aspx

Kids Ski Free and Grandkids Ski Free programs enable children 12 and under to ski free the same number of days as their parents or grandparents when the adult purchases a 5-or-more day adult lift ticket at regular prices. This deal is available the entire ski season. In addition, children 12 and under are eligible for free rentals when their parent or grand parent rents for 5 or more days from the Ski Area. Our Steamboat Guest House is kid friendly, so book your family vacation to Steamboat today! There are also details on this page about how kids fly free on American, Northwest and United Airlines.

6 - Rocky Mountain Super Pass Plus and Ultimate Pass Holders Receive 2 Free days at Whistler Blackcomb - http://www.steamboat.com/newsviewer.aspx?id=350

Copper Mountain, Steamboat and Winter Park Resort Super Pass Plus and Ultimate Pass holders who purchase or renew their passes by Oct. 12 will have the added benefit of a free two-day lift ticket at Skiing Magazine’s number-one ranked resort in North America - Whistler Blackcomb.

7 - Pow Pow Platter - http://www.powpowplatter.com

This new deal was annouced in Mid-December 2008.  For $99 you get one lift ticket to each Colorado Intrawest Resort (Steamboat, Winter Park and Copper Mountain).  This is a great deal if you live on the front range and want to check out a few different resorts for only $33 per day. This deal requires a 48-hour advance purchase. The Pow Pow Platter is payable in full at time of purchase and are non-refundable. Available for purchase through January 31, 2009.
