Is a Guest House right for me?
Make no mistake, the “guest house” is not right for everyone. If you hate the idea of mingling with new people, don’t like dogs, don’t think you would feel comfortable in someone’s house as a visitor, or just think the whole idea is weird, that’s okay. You are probably in the majority.
But if you want a very nice room in a nice house with full access to a clean hot tub, washer and dryer, lovable chocolate lab, easy bus access, full-service kitchen for self-catering, woodstove for heating, great company and the chance to live among and like the locals, this is your place.
What the guest house is not:
- A private home/condo that you will have to yourself
- A private space which requires no interaction with others
What the guest house is:
- An excellent way to get to know the area better by living like and with Steamboat locals
- An inexpensive lodging option which is far more personalized, deluxe and fun than a regular drab hotel
- A shared living space which encourages interaction between guests and home owners
We would love to have you come stay a few nights, a week, or even a month with us. While you are here, we will happily help you find what you came looking for, whether that’s great powder stashes, Strawberry Hot Springs, snowshoe trails, shopping, dining, loud apres ski bars, snowmobile outings, or just a chance to unwind and relax.
And if its a powder day, chances are good that one of us will hit the slopes. And of course you’re invited to join us if you want!
We can accommodate special requests. Just ask, and I’m sure we can work something out. For example, we have a three video at a time Netflix membership. Just send us your video requests and we will have your DVD’s ready for your visit. We know what it means to have a memorable and personalized vacation and we would like to be part of making that experience happen for you in Steamboat Springs, CO!
Just so you know, we also have a house dog - 9 year old chocolate lab Molly Brown. She is extremely friendly and lovable, but if you are allergic to dogs, then you likely want to consider another home for your ski vacation.
